The U.S. Marine Corps will evaluate commercial data-synchronization software from Ditto to test whether tactical units can maintain local networks and artificial-intelligence tools when cloud access is disrupted.
The evaluation falls under Project Dynamis, a Marine Corps initiative to rapidly integrate and test commercial dual-use technologies for battle-management command and control [1]. The program uses iterative software-development exercises, called Serials, to build resilient data networks for contested environments [1] [2].
Ditto announced July 13 that the Project Dynamis team will assess its platform as a data conduit within the program’s Sensitive But Unclassified–Encrypted framework [3].
